ST. ROSALIA PARISH JUBILEE

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, children and young people from the Community of St. Rosalia, a church near our home, together with their families and catechists came to celebrate the Jubilee of Christianity and the 150th Anniversary of the Founding of our Congregation. The community is part of St. Joseph Parish of the Oblate Fathers, however, due to its location and historicity, it operates independently.
During the catechesis, Sr. Miriam Jedlinska, catechist at St. Rosalia, presented short films and presentations telling the story of our Foundress, religious life and missions. During the Mass celebrated by the parish priest Fr. Sebastian Meleth, osj, a word of reflection on the charism of Francisca Siedliska and our congregation was shared by Sr. Speranza Grzebielec, general councilor. Songs and music were prepared with the sisters and faithful by Sr. Letancja Biernat, organist and music animator at the parish and our home. We concluded the jubilee of the catechism community with some refreshments.
The jubilee celebration of St. Rozalia parish in the generalate continued the next day as well, this time attended by the faithful who came to Sunday Mass, mostly families and the elderly. After prayer, there was also time to talk and socialize together during the traditional Italian “rinfresco.”
