On the Sunday’s afternoon, March 23, 2025, two Roman communities of sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth gathered at Via Della Conciliazione. The purpose of the meeting was to walk together through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican for the Jubilee. The pilgrimage, which was organized and prepared by the superior of the community on Via Machiavelli, Sr. Zyta Dziag, began in Piazza Pia. “Let us set out in the name of Christ: the Way who leads to the Father, the Truth who makes us free, the Life who renews the world” (from the pilgrims’ prayer). Nearly 30 sisters followed the Jubilee cross in procession, along with lay people who joined them. The pilgrimage was accompanied by praying the rosary, meditating on the God’s Word, reciting psalms, litanies and singing. The final event was the solemn passage through the Holy Door and the profession of faith at the St. Peter’s Confession. Strengthened by the grace of the Jubilee indulgence, the sisters returned to their homes to spread the Kingdom of God’s love in their daily lives.
