August 23, 2020, was an important day for the Blessed Martyrs of Nowogrodek Province in Belarus.
On this day, during the Mass at 12.00 there was the consecration of the renovated 17th century altar in the church in Grodno, where our Sisters first arrived in 1908. The act of consecration was performed by Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz.

After solemn Vespers, during a service prepared by the Sisters, the installation of the new administration took place. The Sisters expressed their gratitude to the outgoing administration: Sr. Maria Błaszczyk, provincial superior, Sr. Jana Kuryłowicz, assistant and treasurer, Sr. Agata Smolska, councilor and Sr. Antonia Szejgierewicz, councilor and secretary for their devoted and self-sacrificing service to the Congregation on the Belarusian soil. They also prayed for the new administration, which consists of:
Sr. Filotea Tichonowicz, provincial superior,
Sr. Laura Szukiełowicz, assistant and secretary,
Sr. Klara Wołczek, councilor and treasurer,
Sr. Agnes Ostrouch, councilor.
We wish these Sisters the light of the Holy Spirit, courage and openness to His action, and joy in the closeness of the Lord in their daily service during this difficult and uncertain time. Holy Father Francis says: And the joy of the encounter with him and with his call does not lead to shutting oneself in but to opening oneself; it leads to service in the Church (…) Good spreads. And joy also spreads. Do not be afraid to show the joy of having answered the Lord’s call, of having responded to his choice of love and of bearing witness to his Gospel in service to the Church. And joy, true joy, is contagious; it is infectious… it impels one forward.
