“Missionaries leave because they are inhabited by Christ and His Spirit. There is no other reason but the Risen Christ to decide to leave, to leave your loved ones, your country, your friends, your culture.” – Pope Francis said to the missionaries.
On September 20, 2020, two of our Sisters: Sr. Vianneya Zadłużna from Poland and Sr. Linda Balazo from the Philippines, left for their mission in Ghana. After being bidden farewell by their communities in Kalisz and Rome, and supported by the prayers of the Sisters, they set off. The two Sisters met at the Amsterdam airport and traveled together to Africa in order to share the Good News and spread the Kingdom of God’s Love to the places the Lord has called them.
We wish our missionary Sisters strength and courage, so that the witness of their lives, the spirit of mutual love, their openness and sharing of experiences, show the beauty of a life dedicated to Christ and draw young people to the joy of trusting in Him. We also wish for them that the joy and beauty of the Gospel will always be present in their hearts, gestures, words and the example of their lives.
