The Nomination Commission, consisting of Sr. Alina Furczyk (General Council), Sr. Grażyna Roclawska (Australia), Sr. Marietta Osinska (USA), Sr. Amata Nowaszewska (Poland, Warsaw), was formed in response to a directive from the last General Chapter. Its task is to rethink and develop new procedures for nominating Sisters to the General Administration, in accordance with the spirit of the synodal Church, enabling the involvement of as many Sisters as possible to pray together, listen, analyze, dialogue, discern, in order to read the signs of the times and the plan of the Holy Spirit for the Congregation as fully as possible.
Since November 2020, the Sisters held 9 online meetings, while from June 19 – 21, 2023, they met in Rome to gather and organize the results of their work and prepare documents presenting the new nomination process and supporting materials for the discernment process for the upcoming meeting of the provincial superiors and the general administration, which will be held in September in Chicago.
