From December 4 to 13, 2023, Sr. Angela Marie Mazzeo and Sr. Amabilis Sikora traveled to the Holy Land. The purpose of their journey was to conduct a general visitation in the community of our Sisters in Nazareth. Sisters spent time praying together and sharing their experience of life recently painfully marked by the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip. They also had the opportunity to meet and talk with neighbors, friends and co-workers of the Sisters. In addition, Sisters visited Jerusalem and met with Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa and the Bishops of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Rafiq Nahra and Giacinto-Boulos Marcuzzo.
During this time of Advent, it was also a time of special prayer for the Sisters for peace, the cessation of all forms of violence and hatred in the world and the reception by all people of the expected Prince of Peace.
