CLOSING CEREMONY
All the sisters present at the general house gathered in the chapter house for the official closing of the work of the XXVIth General Chapter. After a short prayer, the chapter sisters signed 4 copies of the acts. Superior General Sr. Angela Marie referred to our chapter motto and the Book of Revelation, and concluded by presenting the sisters with mustard seeds as a sign of new life and hope for the growth that God gives. The ceremony was a touching moment of sisterly closeness.
EUCHARIST
The main celebrant of the solemn Mass was Rev. Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś – Archbishop of Lódz, together with Chancellor of Curia, Fr Zbigniew Tracz. Reflecting on the Word of God in his homily, the Cardinal emphasized that true newness leads to unity in community. It becomes in the power of the Word, through the Blood of the Savior and in the Spirit of the Church, because “it pleased God to save people not individually, but in community” (cf. Lumen Gentium 9).
We are glad that thanks to modern technology, the Sisters were able to connect with us via the Internet. We hope you heard Sisters singing the choir, which was prepared by Sr. Karen Trafankowska. Thank you Sister!
GRATITUDE AND FAREWELL
The general house will quickly become empty, although there will still be sisters left finishing chapter documentation, etc. Our good God gives more days to live with Him, in Him and for Him, wherever He sends us.
